Zusammenfassung: | Hollow-core microstructured optical fiber (HC-MOF)-based biosensor for sensing bovine serum albumin (BSA) has been experimentally proposed and demonstrated. The proposed sensor utilizes a photonic bandgap mechanism in the fiber core. Among the fibers, when a liquid analyte with a specific refractive index of the biosample is filled in the fiber core, the effective refractive index of the core changes, thereby modifying the photonic bandgap and affecting the transmission maxima position. A spectral refractive index sensitivity of 2.44~\mu m/RIU (refractive index unit) and BSA concentration sensitivity of 0.43 nm/mg/mL was obtained through experimentally in the wide range detection of 10-90 mg/mL. Significantly, this biosensor can be used to detect biomolecules and unknown liquid analyte in the various applications, such as chemistry, environmental engineering, medicine and biology due to simple structure, and ease of operation. |
