Interestingly, after the data of PNHD group is combined with another 15 PNHD patients in our pilot study, there are significant differences between before injection and immediately after injection (MD = -38.8 mm, p < 0.01), and between before injection and at 7th week (MD = -52.4 mm, p < 0.01), despite no significant difference between immediately after injection and at 7th week (p = 0.237). Despite no significant difference in pain reduction between two injection therapies, it remains a research interest if PNHD can offer superior pain relief in SCN-I, since significant pain reduction (MD: -52.4/100 in VAS) was found between before injection and at 7th week after generation of a larger sample size.
