A systematic review of cricket fast bowling literature: kinematic and kinetic measures of bowling technique associated with performance outcomes

Discussion: Considered together, these findings have wide-ranging application by highlighting a general technical framework for the fast bowling action, similar to other throwing sports; the value of which has been recognised in the fast bowling literature for decades. Additionally, research could benefit from greater appreciation of factors within an individual’s bowling action.
