Zusammenfassung:This brief proposes a capacitive power transfer (CPT) system composed of a load-independent (LI) class E zero voltage switching (ZVS) parallel resonant (PR) inverter and a class D voltage-driven (VD) rectifier. The proposed circuit maintains ZVS and constant output voltage over a wide load range without any feedback control loops. Owing to the CPT part, constant current output characteristic of the LI class E ZVS PR inverter is converted to constant voltage characteristic and applied to a dc/dc converter with a class D VD rectifier. An experimental circuit was built and tested. The observed waveforms in the experiment were in good agreement with simulation waveforms. Due to the LI design, ZVS operation was maintained without control over a wide range of load resistance.
