Zusammenfassung: | Sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum L) is a plantation and industrial plant that has several growth phases, one of which is germination. Germination that occurs starts from day 0 to day 27. The germination phase is a critical phase that has a major impact on future sugarcane growth. The purpose of this study was to determine the germination process of bud chips of 5 commercial sugarcane varieties. The experiment was carried out in March-May 2021 under conditions of high rainfall. There were 5 varieties observed GM-120, GM-25, GM-86; GM-61, and GM-10. Each bud chip was planted using an individual technique with a spacing of 50 cm and covered with soil. carried out until the 27th day after planting. The results showed that among the five varieties observed, varieties GM-120, GM-86, and GM-25 had stable germination, this was indicated by the formation of plant organs at each stage that did not experience significant growth inhibition. Meanwhile, the GM-10 variety had slower germination compared to other varieties, especially in the formation of leaf organs and shoot roots. |
