Reviews "Cy Twombly: Marocco 1952/1953" ("Cy Twombly: Morocco 1952/1953"), preface by Madison Cox and Nicola Del Roscio, texts by Tina Barouti, Anne-Grit Becker, and Nathalie Dupêcher (Humboldt Books, 2023). Which is more difficult? To make a good exhibition or to make a good exhibition catalog? The publication of the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Marrakesh unintentionally raises this question. The thin volume of 90 pages and 34 black-and-white illustrations is published on the occasion of an exhibition that gathers few but impressive sketches and photographs made by Cy Twombly during his several months’ journey through Morocco in 1952 and 1953.
