Zusammenfassung: | This work describes the working and analysis of Continuously Automatic Variable Transmission (CAVT) for bicycles as well as for other industrial applications with necessary modifications. The transmission system is based on a centrifugal governor mechanism. The paper discusses the working of continuous automatic transmission (CAVT) systems. The kinematic and structural analysis of the CAVT system is carried out using MSC Adams and Ansys Workbench respectively. The variation of the various parameters such as spring force acting on the cone, velocity and position of the sliders is analysed with respect to time and input angular velocity of the shaft. Further the structural analysis of the CAVT model is done and failure prone positions in various parts are observed. |
