Zusammenfassung: | Madurese is a regional language that is in third place based on the number of speakers in Indonesia. Madurese has additional special characters, unique grammar and phonology, three language levels, and several dialects. This condition causes the process of learning Madurese to have a high level of difficulty, especially for beginners. Efforts to preserve the Madurese language by applying information technology have been carried out, such as developing stemmers, text to speech, and Madurese language translators using various approaches and methods. Previous Madurese language research has tended to be partial and there has been no research that has specialized in developing a comprehensive Madurese language learning system. Therefore, in this research, a Madurese language learning system for beginners was created. This system focuses on recognizing letters, syllables, words and their pronunciation using a two-level finite state automata (FSA). Besides that, this application is also equipped with a translation feature from Indonesian to Madurese and vice versa using a rule-based method. This system has been tested for functionality using unit testing and user acceptance testing (UAT). The test results of 3 (three) unit tests, namely fragmentation of 100 essential words, identification of 100 affix words and text to speech 20 sentences in Madurese, showed 100% correct results. While UAT, from 5 questions and answers from 30 users with three age groups, has an average value of 91.2%. With these results, this system is suitable for use in assisting the Madurese language learning process for beginners and can also support the preservation of regional languages. |
