Zusammenfassung: | In the recent decade, the focus of research shifted to the manufacturing of bio-based polymer composites by means of an agro-waste as strengthening materials. The primary goal of this research study is to pay attention to know how bamboo leaves and pista shell powder particles affect the characteristics of epoxy polymers. Bamboo leaves and pista shell powder particles are used as hybrid phase in the volume ratios of 100:0, 70:30, and 50:50, respectively, for developing polymer composites at different weight percentage of hybrid reinforcements. According to standards, the samples were tested to analyse the mechanical property qualities and wear behaviour. The mechanical tests like impact, tensile strength and the hardness were performed. As the weight percentage of the particles increases relative to the matrix material, it has been found that there is a significant improvement in the properties of composites. As a result, the study findings indicate that the reinforcement made from agricultural waste and an epoxy-based polymer composites at economical can be used, where the light weight and high strength polymer components are needed instead of wood-based and metal-based materials in a variety of applications like packaging industries. |
