Zusammenfassung: | The earth surface was covered by soil, i.e., 30% of the surface is occupied by soil and rock. In this regard, all the civil engineering and related activities take place on this available surface only, but the soil has not been consistent in all the ways to take and fulfil this action, i.e., transferring the stress and load intensity from the structures safely to the soil. The soil should be properly treated to support the infrastructure safely. The shear strength of the soil depends upon the cohesion and angle of internal friction; the soil strength is not consistent throughout its profile. The soil properties will change in all directions, in other words, the strength will change from place to place. In order to make the soil strength a uniform pattern, the soil must be properly stabilised with waste admixtures like flyash, slag powder, paddy ash, and silica exhaust powder. These materials have some cementitious properties when they react with water and have little presence of cement. Therefore, the adhesion property will increase and the shear strength of the soil will increase. In this research paper, the direct shear test was conducted for various soils treated with green admixtures, and the strength envelope was plotted. From that inference, the shear strength parameters were studied. The strength for FA is recorded as 36, and the cohesion force is 35.85 kN/m2. For slag powder, the cohesion force is 46.9285 kN/m2. |
