Zusammenfassung:Empty fruit bunches from the palm oil sector can be a popular source among Malaysia’s numerous waste streams as a recyclable raw material with a wide range of lucrative applications, particularly in the manufacturing of bio-composites. This is due to its plentiful, low-cost generation and good mechanical characteristics. Pretreatment was used in this investigation to improve their compatibility. Pretreatment with ultrasound in NaOH solution altered OPEFB. The OPEFB/PLA composite was then formed using an internal mixer. The composite will utilize the hardness test, differential scanning calorimetry, and thermogravimetry analysis. The composite’s melting point is falling while OPEFB content is rising. The sample with the lowest OPEFB percentage had the lowest thermogravimetric decomposition rate. The sample with the lowest percentage of OPEFB has a higher hardness value.
