Zusammenfassung:A novel 2 p -4 f cyclic [Tb (hfac) 3 (NIT-4-OMe-3PyPh)] 2 complex has been obtained. The crystal structure shows that the NIT-4-OMe-3PyPh radical bridged two Tb III ions by O atoms of NO units and N atoms on pyridine rings. The variable temperature magnetic susceptibility shows that both ferromagnetic and crystal field effects exist in the complex. Alternating-current magnetic data for the Tb complex exhibits slow magnetic relaxation behavior. This complex is a typical example of molecular nanomagnetic materials.
