Zusammenfassung:The first part of this article provides an overview of domestic and foreign scientific and technical literature in the field of structural aluminium alloys of traditional alloying systems used in aircraft products. The main areas of work are carried out both to improve compositions of the most popular traditional alloys of the Al–Cu–Mg, Al–Zn–Mg–Cu systems (with additives of transitional, rare and rare-earth metals), and to develop new production regimes, including heat treatment (homogenization, stepwise aging), in order to provide modern aircraft structures with materials that have the required set of properties, i.e., high strength, corrosion resistance and fracture toughness, manufacturing capacity in preparation and heat treatment of semi-finished products and components. This will allow aluminum alloys to meet the increasing requirements of designers for reliability, weight efficiency, service life, economy of aircraft, and maintain a dominant position in aircraft applications under conditions of recent active development of non-metallic and hybrid composite materials.
