Resumo
Neste estudo, documentamos novos registros da “Preguiça de Dois Dedos”, Choloepus didactylus (Linnaeus, 1758) estendendo‐se até 820 km ao sul de sua distribuição geográfica atual. Esses registros, e outros encontrados na literatura para o centro‐sul da Amazônia, evidenciam uma expansão para o sul de cerca de 30% da área de ocorrência da espécie conhecida e ajudam a esclarecer décadas de incertezas sobre sua real distribuição.
