Zusammenfassung: | In the heavy machinery industry, security and operational monitoring of unattended units have become significant issues. The risk of heavy equipment component theft and the lack of real-time monitoring, especially in remote or distant locations, are the primary constraints. To enhance operator safety and reduce blind spots, the development of a portable monitoring system for operational enhancement and reducing blind spots has been proposed. This system uses camera technology installed on heavy machinery for real-time monitoring and early detection of potential component theft. This study’s research method involves designing and installing a monitoring system and reducing blind spots on heavy machinery units. Through installing a Portable 360° Camera on heavy machinery units, component security has improved significantly due to the availability of real-time video monitoring. The design and implementation of the Portable 360° Camera allow for remote video and image capture via the operator’s or unit owner’s mobile device while connected to the internet. The portable 360° camera has successfully reduced blind spots in various heavy machinery units. In the case of Excavator 313D, blind spots were reduced by 85.62%. |
