Three of the papers employ the Data Envelopment Analysis method to investigate efficiency in the sectors while the fourth presents an overview of the underlying causes of bankruptcy in the banking sector. George Mickhail Chief Editor Bryant University, USA & Beijing Institute of Technology, Zhuhai, China Ross Kirkham Associate Editor Articles The first paper DEA Analysis of Performance Efficiency in the Queensland Local Government Sector (McKinnon, Ferguson & Watts, 2024) examines the performance efficiency in the Queensland Local Government Sector using data envelopment analysis. The paper suggests that the CAMELS rating system used to assess the banking sector in the USA needs to be further expanded with greater attention needing to be placed on macroeconomic factors and market risks which are combined in a Matrix approach provided in the paper.
