Zusammenfassung: | This report presents a small-sized wearable aspiration system for postoperative drainage, along with a method for identifying the presence of exudate in wound cavities to monitor device operation with the aim of decreasing the risk of trauma to the wound cavity walls in patients during the postoperative period. The method used to detect the presence of exudate involves measuring impedance through an array of sensors to assess whether the wound cavity is filled with infiltrate, and then controlling the application of negative pressure based on the measured impedance value. |
