Zusammenfassung: | With increase in day-to-day demand in automobile the rate of accidents is also being increased on daily basis. To ensure the safe journey of the passengers, the overall vehicle structure should have enough strength to withstand the impact load caused due to collision of vehicle with other objects. The car crash is a transient non-linear phenomenon which undergoes a huge plastic deformation at the time of collision. The design of car should be carried out to understand the structure deformation under impact loading. In the present paper, we have carried out the crash test analysis with the help of simulation software. Using Finite Element Analysis software various load cases are executed to check the safe design of automobile. The results of car crash analysis is used to estimate the maximum stress concentration and the total deformation caused due to impact. Different materials were tested for the same design and choice of the better performing material can be made based on mechanical properties. Results of the car crash test indicates the Aluminum based alloy is performing better in car crash test. |
