Implementation of satellite monitoring of the sides of the “Kalmakyr” mine

One of the main tasks of the surveying service is to determine the spatial location of workings, processes of deformation of rocks and the earth’s surface in connection with mining operations, as well as to reflect the dynamics of the production process of a mining enterprise. As the quarry is developed, both the dimensions in the plan and its depth increase. The expansion and increase of the technological processes carried out in the quarry area has a direct impact on the environment, in particular on the host rock mass. Which in tum has a negative effect on the safety of the ledges of the quarry and on the sides of the quarry as a whole. In order to create reliable and safe conditions for mining operations, it is necessary to collect and process authentic data on changes in the rock mass, as well as to determine the most likely areas of a quarry collapse.
