Zusammenfassung: | Maintaining business sustainability is a challenge for manufacturing and service enterprises. Business turbulence can be controlled if management and business owners can manage uncertainty along the supply chain. Small and medium-sized enterprises in the jewelry SMEs industrial sectors have also struggled to sustain business continuity. This study aims to illustrate supply chain configuration and map the supply chain risks from the upstream to the downstream supply chain. Supply Chain Operation Reference was used as a research approach. The small and medium-sized industrial jewelry-making cluster in Gresik Regency - East Java was used as the research object. This research was begun with the configuration of the jewelry industry supply chain. The next stage identified risk events and agents based on the plan, make, source, delivery, and return categories. Furthermore, eighteen risk events and twelve risk agents were identified throughout the upstream - midstream- and downstream jewelry supply chain. The results of this study indicate that the configuration of the jewelry industry supply chain is categorized into three types of businesses: jewelry making, jewelry refining, and jewelry polishing. |
