Zusammenfassung: | In this paper aims to remodel the quarantine box by using a remote control to sterilize goods from viruses. And this research will produce a prototype that utilizes ultraviolet (UV) radiation to damage DNA or RNA in viruses to inhibit the reproduction of microorganisms and kill them. In addition, the remote control also requires a power supply (to make the output DC so that the voltage is strong against UV rays) and an inverter (to make the output AC so that the UV rays turn on). The UV light used is UVC with a wavelength of 200 to 280 nm because it has the greatest energy from UVA and UVB and can sterilize microorganisms with an irradiation time of 5 to 10 minutes. This prototype will be in the form of a rectangular box with dimensions (0.67 x 0.51 x 0.47) m covered with Aluminum Foil as a UV reflector at the corner of the box with a reflectivity coefficient of 0.97, so that each side of the box has the same energy. Using a remote control can save time and electricity performance, while when turning off the quarantine box, not using the remote control will prolong time performance. So the addition of a remote control will be more effective in the quarantine box. |
