Zusammenfassung: | Background: Obesity, type 2 diabetes (T2D), and frailty are associated with disabilities. Although the impact of T2D on disabilities is exacerbated by frailty, limited studies have been conducted on the impact of exercise and diabetes education in individuals of different obesity statuses with T2D and frailty. Thus, the objective of this study was to investigate the impact of a 16-week resistance band training and diabetes education program on glycemia, physical function, muscle strength, and frailty level in individuals living with T2D and frailty with different obesity statuses. Methods: Participants (n = 74) included were aged ≥65 years old, living with T2D (self-reported or glycated hemoglobin (HbAlc) ≥ 6.5%) and classified at a minimum of pre-frail based on Frieds Frailty Scale. Obesity status was defined as (1) healthy weight (body mass index (BMI): |
