Zusammenfassung:The shape and position can influence, in certain cases, the treatment plan, the pre-prosthetic steps and also the clinical and laboratory phases. According to some authors, the genetic factors are the main cause in their formation. According to the size, the torus can be small, medium or large. CONCLUSIONS The palatal tori are bony structures usually discovered in middle and old age patients, without pathological significance, resulted by the combined action of several etiological factors.
