Zusammenfassung:The samples of MgAl 2 O 4 ceramics are manufactured by spark plasma sintering at 1300°C and 100 MPa during 20 minutes. Their thermal annealing is conducted in an air atmosphere in a temperature range from 700 to 1300°C for 1 to 30 hours. Their microstructure is analyzed by the X-ray phase analysis and scanning electron microscopy. The influence of thermal treatment parameters on optical and mechanical characteristics of this ceramics is discussed.
