Zusammenfassung:In this work 4,4-dichlorodiphenylsulfone was synthesized in the presence of the moisture-absorbing agent phosphorus pentoxide. The influence of temperature, phosphorus pentoxide concentration, and reaction time on product yield was investigated. Optimal synthesis conditions were determined: 70°C, phosphorus pentoxide concentration of 0.31 M, and a reaction time of 6 h. The structure of synthesized 4,4′-dichlorodiphenylsulfone was identified using spectroscopic methods. The proposed synthesis method can be used for small-scale production of 4,4′-dichlorodiphenylsulfone.
