Zusammenfassung:Blockchain technology has the potential to greatly advance several industries-finance, medicine, manufacturing, and education on the above advantages. Benefits in terms of trust, collaboration, organization, user experience, and transparency are promised by blockchain technology. This literature review’s goal is to evaluate what Blockchain is in terms of concept, architecture, implementation, and future directions, especially how distance education can benefit from this technology. This article uses the literature method with systematic and standardized literature techniques from several journal articles and conference proceedings. The findings mostly concurred with the recent literature that BT allows users to immediately perform and verify transactions without a central authority, but further research is needed to define the roles and responsibilities of stakeholders to address the threats and weaknesses of this technology. Currently, many countries have implemented BT, including Indonesia through the Universitas Terbuka.
