SERS-Based Rapid Detection of Botulinum Toxin A Using an Aptasensor

A biosensor for the rapid and sensitive detection of botulinum toxin type A was developed. The sensor is a SERS substrate with an optimized concentration of labeled aptamers immobilized on its surface. It allows the detection of botulinum toxin type A with a detection limit of 2.4 ng/mL in 1 h.
