Zusammenfassung:Solar energy is a very promising option for an alternative source of renewable energy. Indonesia as an equatorial country has great potential for the use of solar energy. Photovoltaic is a device that is useful for converting solar radiation into electrical power. One of the common application of photovoltaic in building are solar rooftop installment. In this study, a performance analysis of the solar rooftop system in the city of Medan is carried out during May 2021. The solar rooftop system with a total capacity of 10 kWp consists of 25 photovoltaic panels, each of which has rated power and voltage are 400 Wp and 38.7 V, respectively. The solar irradiation, power, voltage and current are measured and recorded. The total generated electrical energy output are 1011.8 kWh monthly, and the average daily electrical energy output are 32.639 kWh. The maximum performance ratio are 99.97% and has an average of 89.41%.
