Zusammenfassung:Themes in that song-mountains, solitude, bravery-continue to find expression in many later yodel songs. Because of this original folk connection, yodeling remained associated with the outdoors, with rustic rather than sophisticated personae, and with particular emotional or psychological states or semantic fields. Early Traditions in Acoustic Recordings The earliest yodel recordings have up until recently been difficult to hear for the reason that they have been available only on cylinders, shellac, or 78rpm discs. Because the songs are so old-fashioned and unlikely to be in demand, they are rarely re-issued on CD.
