Zusammenfassung:Type A aortic dissection (AAD) is a common and potentially deadly pathology. The aim of this study is to analyze the factors associated with the mortality of patients admitted to the ICU with AAD. Observational, single-center study conducted in the ICU of Hospital Virgen de la Arrixaca. We included 32 patients who died from AAD from June 2013 to October 2022. Qualitative data were described using descriptive statistical indices, and quantitative data were described using measures of central tendency and dispersion. For dichotomous qualitative variables, the Chi-square test was used, while for quantitative variables, the T-Student-test and its non-parametric equivalent, the U-Mann Whitney test, were used. A risk factor was considered if the OR > 1, a protective factor if OR
