Zusammenfassung:Model calculations have been carried out for alpha-induced reactions that produce radioisotopes of therapeutic and diagnostic utilities. The parameters for the optical model potential, level density, pre-equilibrium processes and photon strength function have been probed towards better overlap of the experimental, as adopted in the IAEA database or available in the literature, and the theoretical excitation functions, as calculated using the TALYS code. The latter facilitates reaction modeling exercise through incorporation of all possible reaction mechanisms in the framework of its calculations. The significance of the pre-equilibrium processes, for instance, is brought out through the deviation between the experimental and the theoretical excitation functions, that is calculated using the PACE code and that does not include the pre-equilibrium contribution to the yield of the (reaction) channel of interest.
