Zusammenfassung:Transparent film has been prepared by using cellulose isolated from leftover coconut milk pulp. Cellulose isolation was performed through several stages including dewaxing, alkalization, acid hydrolysis, and bleaching. The characteristics of transparent cellulose film were tested using FTIR, XRD, and TGA. FTIR spectra showed typical peaks of cellulose and confirmed the functional groups of cellulose. XRD patterns showed the decrease of cellulose crystallinity after film formation. The decomposition temperature of transparent cellulose film was observed at 340°C by using TGA. The film obtained in this study has potential as a food packaging material.
