Zusammenfassung: | During the lessons at school, there's often to be distraction. One of them is noise disturbance. This noise problem can cause students to not be able to study optimally because they cannot hear their teacher's voice clearly and ultimately have an impact on their achievement. One way that the teacher's voice can be heard clearly in the classroom is to reduce the reverberation time (RT) of the classroom. This research focuses on the study of sound absorbing materials that make up the space that can affect its reverberation time. The research method used to answer the problem formulation is a qualitative method, which is to compare sound absorber materials based on the theory of acoustic material selection by Handoko Sutanto (2015). While the purpose of this research is to find out what sound absorbing material is right for use in elementary school classrooms. After comparing the sound absorbing materials on the market, it was found that the most suitable material for use is polyethylene terephthalate (PET). |
