Zusammenfassung: | In the context of China between 2015 and 2020, this study examines the significant influence of energy transition on technological advancement in an era characterized by environmental challenges and the pressing need for sustainable solutions. To comprehend how transitions to sustainable and renewable energy sources impact technological progress, the study utilizes a Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) model to examine the dynamic interplay between these two essential components of sustainable development. Our findings indicate there is a strong correlation between energy transition programs and the rate of technological innovation, indicating that energy reforms serve as a spur for technological progress. Second, the findings point to a feedback loop in which advances in technology serve to improve the efficacy and efficiency of sustainable energy sources. Thirdly, regional analysis conducted within China shows differences in how various provinces react to and profit from this interaction. This study suggests specific policy measures that support both the energy transition and the development of an atmosphere favorable to technological advancement. |
