Zusammenfassung:To establish the roof snow control by melting snow using ventilation waste heat on the double-layered membrane roof with gentle slope, the authors conducted the field experiment using the membrane roof prototype and examined the method for estimating the quantities of snow melting. As the results, the snow on the roof melted in case of the supply airflow temperature of approximately 20°C. In addition, the necessity to consider the thermal conductivity of the roof snow, and the setting value of snow density and the melting efficiency was clarified in the estimation of the snow melting quantities.
