Zusammenfassung: | We propose a slim Maxwellian near-eye display for virtual reality using a point light source array. The proposed system achieves both a compact form factor by reducing the thickness and a clear image presentation with a large depth of focus by enabling the Maxwellian view. The users with low vision can also observe the clear image without corrective glasses. The key idea of the proposed method is the use of a single micro lens array that performs two distinct roles simultaneously: display panel imaging for thickness reduction and point light source imaging for Maxwellian view presentation. We verify the proposed system by optical experiments. |
