Zusammenfassung:The aim of this study was to investigate the micro-texture and plastic anisotropy of a dual phase steel. A DP800 steel was produced by cold rolling and intercritical annealing of a low carbon steel. Micro-texture analysis on the DP800 steel by means of electron backscatter diffraction revealed that a high orientation density exists along the α and γ fibers. However, the overall texture intensity was not significant. Tensile testing of the DP800 steel at different angles to the rolling direction demonstrated a very low dependency of tensile properties and work hardening behavior to the loading direction. Nevertheless, the r -value showed some directionality with a mean value of 0.851, suggesting a substantial anisotropy for the studied DP800 steel.
