Zusammenfassung:The aluminium is regarded a highly corrosion resistant element, owing to which it is desirable to research the Al-based alloys against various corrosive media such as sodium chloride (NaCl), sulphuric acid(H2SO4), nitric acid (HNO3) etc. The Al-based alloys are also favoured owing to their low density. Presently, the alloys were created employing melting and casting process in an inert atmosphere. The density and hardness were estimated for all the samples. The corrosion resistance of all alloys in NaCl+HNO3 solution was examined. It was also feasible to compare the corrosion parameters of all of the various alloys. The corrosion current density (icorr), corrosion potential (Ecorr), and corrosion rate are the three key corrosion parameters explored in this study. After corrosion, the optical micrographs were taken to analyze the corroded surface. It was tried to establish the relationship between corrosion rate and hardness of samples.
