Zusammenfassung:A study has been carried out on the effect of plasma extraction voltage versus electron beam current in a pulsed electron irradiator (PEI). The electrons on the plasma surface are emitted into the acceleration region through the emission window and then extracted through the foil window into the atmospheric region for the extraction voltage, causing a plasma arc discharge to be applied to the target. The extraction voltage Ua installed in the PEI device affects the formation process and the extraction electron emission current Ie, while the dimensions of the Plasma Generator Vessel (PGV) affect the thermal electron emission current Ie0. In this paper, we have discussed the effect of variable extraction voltages up to the order of hundreds kV on the basis of the Boltzmann equation and the method of determining the current Ie using the Rogowki coil, which is used in PEI devices. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimal of the voltage and current of the electron beam extraction in the operation of PEI device.
