Zusammenfassung: | Determination of nutritional needs, especially essential amino acids (EAA) in the ration has a major effect on the performance of ducks. Lack of EAA elements can result in poor performance. The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness several levels of EAA supplemented (lysine, methionine, threonine, arginine and tryptophan) in the ration and two types of feed to achieve optimal performance of Alabio ducks during the starter period. As many as 360-day old ducks were reared for 8 weeks and allocated to 6 treatments, in 6 replications and each replication consisted of 10 ducks. The research was designed as a completely randomized design (CRD) in a 3x2 factorial pattern. The first factor were 3 levels of EAA (0, 10 and 20%), the second factor were 2 types of feed i.e: mash and pellets. The variables observed included: live body weight, body weight gain, feed consumption and FCR. The results showed that the average live body weight was not significantly affected (p>0.05) by EAA suplemented, but were significantly influenced (p |
