Zusammenfassung: | This study presents experimental observations of single laser-induced cavitation bubbles collapsing in water with different levels of air saturation. The average trends of the bubble size reveal a clear yet little dependence of the energy dissipation at collapse on the water gas content. Similarly, the observed trend of luminescence energy at collapse varies within the investigated range of air saturation levels, in agreement with findings in similar works. We argue that perturbations in bubble shape may amplify with decreasing air saturation, consequently affecting light emission. |
