Influence of the polyorgan pathology on the biological age of male and female patients

The research was carried out on 1433 patients, male (1055) and female (378), aged 17–93 years with various polyorgan somatic and psychoneurological pathologies in remission. The polyorgan pathology worsens age-dependent characteristics and increases the biological age of male and female patients. Thus, sexual differences exist but almost disappear over time. In men, the polyorgan pathology affects age-dependent parameters to a greater degree and increases the biological age. This may be the cause of the lower life expectancies of men compared with women.
