Zusammenfassung: | In the Republic of Iraq, the public procurement plays a fundamental function in the development and recovery of the country’s economy and as long as the base of infrastructure for the public sector’s growth., The study’s main goal was to identify factors that obstruct contract management’s performance in the public sector and to assess the influence of the contract management plan on work procurement in Iraq. A total of 78 contract personnel were used. Data were collected using questionnaires, interview guides, and documentary analysis plans. The descriptive data collection method was used in the study with the help of SPSS. According to the findings, contract management team competency and contract monitoring increase government sector procurement of works, and Procurement planning was found to be the most important aspect, followed by contract management. According to the majority of the respondents, there was poor contract management in the construction sector, as shown by tardiness in payments to contractors, which hampered their ability to offer services and a lack of adequate contract management procedures. |
