Zusammenfassung:Effectiveness of inhaled normoxic argon/oxygen gas mixture was tested with the participation of volunteers with good initial hearing prior to white noise exposure (preconditioning). The results of comprehensive audiometry including measurements of hearing threshold, delayed evoked otoacoustic emissions, distortion-product otoacoustic emissions, and short-latency auditory evoked potentials attested to the benefit of this method of otoprotection.
