Zusammenfassung:Pedicled pericardium is a useful viable material for cardiac surgery. In an adolescent case, the extracardiac lateral tunnel of a Fontan connection was successfully constructed with pedicled pericardium. This procedure is expected to allow the growth of the tunnel and to need no anti-coagulant therapy, while careful long-term follow-up is necessary.
