Treatment of 80 Smoking Cases with Ear Acupoint plus Electroacupuncture

According to the concerned data from home and abroad, tobacco contains nicotine, coal-tar, CO and ammonia cyatic acid, and all of these chemical materials may damage some human organs. A large amount of statistic documents show that smoking does not only have close relationship with the onset of cancer, but also affects the growth and development of fetus. Thus, a lot of people came for smoking cessation. During the recent years, some European and American countries have forbidden citizens to smoke in the public places. During the stay of the author in the medical team to Togo West Africa, 80 foreign patients were willing to receive acupunture treatment to stop smoking. The author found that it had a good effect to use ear acupoint with electroacupunture, the report is now as follows.
