During that discussion, I asked the other two if either of them knew of any site where the potential value of the potential geothermal energy had been considered before mine closure and inundation. If not, perhaps some entrepreneurial individuals out there might want to consider the potential value of this low-cost geothermal power option and incorporate the design of such a system into a planned mine closure. Given that the Congress will be held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the West Virginia Mine Drainage Task Force, we are hoping to have well over 300 attendees.
