Zusammenfassung:The synthesis and characterization of a new bis(NHC)-Pd(II) catalyst supported on magnetic SBA-15 (Fe 3 O 4 @SiO 2 -SBA) were reported. Magnetic SBA-15 was sequentially treated with (3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane (APTES), cyanuric chloride (CC), imidazole, and 2-bromopyridine. The modified magnetic particles were then further reacted with trans -Pd(Cl) 2 (SMe 2 ) 2 complex to give Fe 3 O 4 @SiO 2 -SBA-AP-CC-bis(NHC)-Pd(II) as a supported bis(NHC) complex. The obtained material was characterized by common spectroscopic methods. X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) revealed the interaction of some imine nitrogens with palladium atoms. The prepared catalyst was applied in the hydrodehalogenation of aryl halides. The effects of reaction parameters were investigated to establish the optimal reaction conditions. The catalyst was magnetically separated and reused seven times without significant catalyst deactivation and Pd leaching. Graphical Abstract
