A critical review on materials used in additive manufacturing

Additive manufacturing (AM) is increasingly used in many Aerospace and Automobile manufacturing companies for component manufacturing. The components having complicated profiles can be easily made by the AM process, which was impossible by conventional manufacturing. As the technology of AM is changing rapidly, there is a need to update the materials used in AM. This has motivated the author to take up the current research work. An attempt is being made to explore the new materials used for making components by AM process. The research output would help practitioners, academicians, and researchers interested in further research.
