Zusammenfassung:The design of pressure vessel is a strenuous task. Various shape of heads connection or end connection are available for a pressure vessel. The Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of pressure vessels with variable end closures (heads) is the subject of this study. The purposed pressure vessel is developed according to American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standard section VIII, division I for 12 MPa pressure. Several types of pressure vessel heads are compared and contrasted in this study. This work’s purpose is to find the best end closure for a cylindrical pressure vessel which can reduce the instances of industrial disaster caused by pressure vessel failure.
